WORKING STUDENT SOFTWARE ENGINEERING – RUBY ON RAILS (M/W/D)

TASKS

In your new role as a working student, you will:

• Join our agile team to contribute to the ongoing development of our Ruby on Rails application that aids in digital credit processing
• Have the opportunity to learn and grow by actively participating in innovations across the customer journey
• Work on ensuring that your code runs effectively and error-free with a focus on test-driven development
• Collaborate with the Product Owner and occasional interactions with colleagues from the business side are key components of this role
  
  

REQUIREMENTS

Core requirements

• Currently enrolled in a computer science degree or related field at a German university or university of applied sciences
• Knowledge of OOP principals, some experience with Ruby programming language and Ruby on Rails framework is a plus
• Familiarity with relational databases
• Exposure to agile software development methodologies like Scrum and Kanban
• Basic understanding of test-driven software development, familiarity with RSpec or similar test frameworks is beneficial
• Good analytical and conceptual skills
• Ability to work in a structured, independent, and goal-oriented manner
• Good command of written and spoken English

On top, you have..

• Some experience with AWS (RDS, EC2, S3, Elastic Beanstalk, etc.) is beneficial
• Exposure to CI/CD methodologies and tools
• Familiarity with Docker, Kubernetes, and related platforms
• Interest in other technologies we use, such as Java, Python, and front-end technologies
